Editing an Existing Microsoft 365 Backup Job
Last updated
Need to change what you're protecting, adjust your schedule, or update your retention policy? You can edit an existing Microsoft 365 backup job at any time.
From the eazyBackup sidebar, select e3 Cloud Backup, then go to Users and select the user whose job you want to edit. Open the Jobs page for that user.
Find the Microsoft 365 backup job in the list and select the Edit job (pencil) icon.

The Edit backup job modal opens. It uses the same four-step wizard as the original setup — Connect, Inventory, Schedule, Retention, and finally Job name — so you can move directly to whichever part you want to change:
Inventory — add or remove users, mailboxes, SharePoint sites, OneDrive, or Teams, or fine-tune a granular selection (for example, adding Calendar and Contacts to a user who was previously mail-only). Use Refresh inventory to pull in newly added users or sites, and watch your Selected for backup panel update on the right.
Schedule — switch between Once daily (included in the base price) and Twice daily (extra fee). Start times remain system-assigned between 7:00 PM and 11:59 PM.
Retention — change how long backups are kept, from the default 1 year up to extended multi-year policies.
Job name — rename the job as it appears in your job list, logs, and report emails.
Use Next and Back to move between steps. You only need to visit the steps you want to change.

When you're happy with your changes, select Create job (or Save) on the final step to apply them. Your updated settings take effect on the job's next scheduled run.
Your job is updated and ready to go. You can edit it again anytime as your Microsoft 365 environment changes, or select Run now from the Jobs page to test your new settings right away.
